binarykatwalk: v.01
The initial edition of binaryKatwalk (launched 25.09.2005) was an international exhibition of artists pushing into interesting areas within new media and art. The exhibition space itself was written about in several articles as it was designed not as a typical web space to house art , but a virtual gallery.
The exhibition was very well received and had 6000 hits on the first day and got one of the artists an offer to speak at a conference based solely on his project in Katwalk. The work was selected out of a large pool of submissions and the space was designed to house the works in a way other more traditional spaces simply do not.
